The Origin Story of Nurse 1 Nutrition

Hello everyone!  Allow me to introduce myself... I'm Nurse Melissa!

Helping others who suffer from pain and illness has been my dream since I was a little girl. As a registered nurse currently working in home health, I provide intensive daily care for a high-risk child. My passion for health and wellness has always driven me, and it was this passion that ultimately led to the creation of Nurse 1 Nutrition.

The idea for Nurse 1 Nutrition was born out of a frustrating personal experience. I had ordered probiotics from a local company that promised delivery within 3-5 days. However, after a week, I received an email stating that my order was just being shipped. Days passed, yet my package never arrived. When I checked the USPS tracking number, it hadn’t moved since it was created.

Frustrated, I reached out to the company, leaving voicemails and sending emails. Days went by with no response. When I finally got through to someone nearly two weeks after placing my order, I was left with more confusion than clarity. The representative vaguely mentioned a mistake and promised to look into it, but I never received a call back.

Curious, I looked up the company’s reviews and was horrified. Many customers reported similar experiences—long wait times, unfulfilled orders, and unresponsive customer service. Some had even waited months for their products or struggled to get refunds. When communication did occur, it was often unprofessional and dismissive. Realizing I wasn’t alone, I disputed the charge with my bank. Weeks later, I received a nasty email accusing me of being “petty” for requesting a refund. That email was the final push I needed to take action.

I shared my experience with my cousin, a skilled entrepreneur with expertise in business management, technology, and website development. We discussed the situation and saw an opportunity: we could create a company that prioritizes customer service, reliability, and high-quality products. Instead of leaving customers frustrated and unheard, we wanted to provide them with a trusted source for the supplements they need.

From there, Nurse 1 Nutrition was born. My cousin built the website while I focused on sourcing the best products from my favorite brands. We are just getting started, but we are excited about this journey and committed to providing exceptional service. We look forward to growing with you and becoming a trusted name in health and nutrition!
